  • Overall Male & Female win $150
  • 2nd Place Overall Male & Female win $100
  • 3rd Place Overall Male & Female win $50
  • Top Team (4 people with combined fastest time) win $200 for the nonprofit of their choice
  • School with the most students who complete 5K receives $250 and trophy​

Firefighters Challenge Award:

Fire districts challenge one another to participate in the 5k to rally communities around the health of children. All employees and their families who register and complete the 5k count in the challenge.

The fire district with the most people who finish the 5k will be awarded the Fast Exit bronze designed by retired firefighter Paul Olesniewicz. This traveling award resides in the winning fire district each year. Congratulations to North Metro Fire Rescue, our 2018 defending champions!

The bronze is generously donated by the Arista Community Foundation of Broomfield. The oak pedestal is made and donated by Broomfield resident, Ray Rada.

Police Challenge Award:

Police departments challenge one another to participate in the 5k to rally communities around the health of children. All employees and their families who register and complete the 5k count in the challenge.

The police department with the most people who finish the 5k will be awarded the bronze designed by firefighter and artist Austin Weishel of Colorado. This traveling award resides in the winning police department each year. Congratulations to Broomfield Police Department, our defending champions!

The bronze is generously donated by the Arista Community Foundation of Broomfield. The bronze sits on an oak pedestal made and donated by Broomfield resident, Ray Rada.

Kids’ Marathon Finishers

Kids 14 and under who log their walking or running throughout the school year can log the last 0.9 mile at the Mazzola Miracle Fun Run and receive a Tshirt, bib, and marathon finisher’s medal!
